James had a great first birthday and we had a great time celebrating him. I gave him a cupcake as part of his breakfast in the morning (birthdays happen only once a year!). Ellie was very helpful in opening James's gifts. She chose a Curious George Jack in the Box for her little brother. Adam arrived on Saturday and Erica, Todd and Dashel also came up from New York which was a treat. James loved his cake and loved being sung to; he even clapped when we finished singing Happy Birthday. It was a wonderful day with our wonderful boy. Happy 1st Birthday, Sweet Baby James!
