March Break in Manhattan

Ellie and I took the train to New York last Wednesday for a little getaway over my two week March Break. It was about the furthest distance I could travel in my 38th week of pregnancy. We met my mom there and had a great few days allowing Ellie to explore the city.

Ellie at Serendipity with Mimi

John met us in the city on Friday night and we had a great day in Central Park on Saturday. We took Ellie to the carousel and a playground and just enjoyed the gorgeous Spring weather.

On Saturday evening Ellie had her first taste of a Magnolia Bakery cupcake. Fun times!
It was a great visit to NYC. We are grateful to Erica & Todd for letting us stay in their beautiful apartment. It was a perfect last little trip for our family of three.

Saturday Happenings

We went to the Children's Museum yesterday and Ellie drove the steamroller. She got in touch with her feminine side later in the day when she discovered some of my lip gloss. See the photos below to see how pleased she was with her makeup applying skills. Now I have one more thing to keep out of her reach.

Friday Night Out

We went out for pizza on Friday night with our friends. Ellie loved being with Gwyn, Ben, Ella and Kellan. We're not sure how the restaurant felt about us after we left, but we all had a great time!

When Irish Eyes are Smiling

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It was beautiful here today, nice enough that we were able to make our first trip to the playground this year. Ellie and John were decked out in their sweaters that Mimi and Papa brought back from Ireland.

Ellie wasn't too interested in wearing her Irish knit hat but did want to show off her babies from Ireland, Roisin and Rory. Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona dár gcairde agus teaghlach (Happy St. Patrick's Day to our friends and family)!

Saturday Stroll

Ellie and I went for a little walk on Saturday in the wonderful mild weather. She insisted that we bring not one, but two babies along.

We had to stop midway through the walk so Ellie could give one of her dolls a bottle.

Don't let this last photo fool you. Ellie did not walk home. She had me carry her (and the stroller, doll and bags) a few blocks back to our house. Lucky me.

Weekend in Stratton, Vermont

We went to Stratton, Vermont for the weekend to stay with our friends Bill, Kelly, Abby and Will. The weather was gorgeous, we were even able to eat lunch outside on Saturday. We had dinner at on old favorite place, The Red Fox on Saturday night. Ellie attempted to take a sip of John's guinness. Fortunately, she wasn't successful.

Snow Day #3

We had our third snow day of the winter today. I was able to sleep in (a little bit) and then made pancakes for breakfast. Ellie ventured outside this afternoon to assist John with the shoveling. She wore both a sweater and a scarf that Mimi had made for her. I was able to get a photo of her in these items while she was relaxing after all of her hard work outside.

My Sunshine

Enjoy the video of Ellie singing You are My Sunshine.

Movie Talk

The video above is of Ellie talking about her first time at the movies.

A Movie and Dinner at 27 Months

Ellie turned 27 months yesterday. We went to her first movie, a 3D Imax movie, Under the Sea with Henry and his friend Juliana yesterday morning. Ellie really seemed to enjoy it and unfortunately I didn't get any photos of her wearing her 3D glasses or reaching out in attempt to touch the fish. We went to dinner last night and Ellie was too wiped out to finish her ice cream.

Erin's Baby Shower

While in NYC, I cohosted Erin's baby shower. It's crazy that our babies are due within a day of each other. We can't wait to meet Baby Spitler this Spring!

Ashley & Pierre's Wedding

Ashley and Pierre's amazing wedding was on Saturday, February 21st. Everything was beautiful and we had an incredible time!

Ellie in NYC

We went to NYC for Ashley and Pierre's wedding last weekend. All of us were all happy to get there after a week of Ellie being sick at home. The best part for Ellie was having Uncle babysit for her.
