We are having the best summer! Ellie loves spending so much time at the pool and I feel so fortunate that we get to spend the days with our friends. To see the entire album of our fun-filled July, go here.

Ellie is 20 Months Old

Ellie is now 20 months old. We went to the pool twice today and Ellie had her first taste of a Twizzler. She and Will had lots of fun spending the day together.

Sunday Best

Since Ellie was all dressed this morning for church, I took some photos of her outside. It's been more difficult to get good pics of her lately as she's always on the go.

Puddle Jumper

Ellie experienced her first puddle today. She ran right into it, said "jump!" and thanks to her swim lessons, attempted to blow bubbles. Fortunately, she was not successful in getting her face into the parking lot puddle.

Five Little Mice

Ellie has been into finger songs lately. Her favorite is "Five Little Mice" that my mom taught her. The video above is Ellie making contributions to the song.

Buck Hill

We made our annual trip to Buck Hill for the Member-Guest golf tournament. While the highlight for John was lots of golf, the best part for Ellie was spending time with Katie and Luke. We all had a fantastic weekend! To see all of the photos from our weekend, go to: BH 2008 Album

Mimi's Visit

My mom came for a visit last week. Unfortunately, we don't have a photograph of her with Ellie since she's the one always taking the pictures. We were very busy while she was here and Ellie loved spending the time with her Mimi.

Beak's Shower and the Hamptons

We toasted the bride-to-be, Beak in NYC last week. It was an awesome night. Then Erica and Todd hosted me for a very relaxing weekend in East Hampton.

Changing diapers

Ellie is really into babies and dolls right now. Here she is "changing" her doll's diaper. There are many steps involved in this task; first, she rummages through a diaper bag for her materials, then she rolls out a changing mat, gets a diaper, a wipe and gets down to business. She began doing this independently and takes it very seriously too.

Tiny Dancers

Ellie and Ella danced ever so gracefully in tutus yesterday. When I told them they were beautiful ballerinas, Ellie kept saying, "rina, rina."

4th of July Festivities

Happy Independence Day! We began the holiday weekend at Megan and Adam's bbq on the 3rd. After dinner, everyone headed down to the beach to watch the fireworks which the kids surprisingly all loved. Ellie kept saying, "boom....wow!"

We met up with our friends at the 4th of July parade today. Ellie, Ella and Dan danced to the marching bands.

Birthday BBQ

We celebrated Jessica's birthday last night at the pool. Everyone had a great time and Ellie and Gwyn really liked those cupcakes. Happy birthday, Jess - we're so happy to have you as a friend.

Swim Lessons

Ellie began swim lessons this past Monday. She didn't enjoy her first lesson and I wondered if forcing her into it was a form of child abuse. Luckily, things improved and she's now loving her lessons.
