JBP: The Stats

James had his 12 month pediatrician appointment on Thursday. He weighs 26 pounds, 9 ounces and is 32.5 inches long. That puts him in the 91st percentile for weight and 98th percentile for height. James had his last bottle on his birthday and has had an easy transition from formula to whole milk. Our doctor said he looks great and can start more foods like eggs and peanut butter. That evening James enjoyed a delicious dinner of scrambled eggs and havarti cheese. He continues to eat everything: cheese, broccoli, turkey, salmon, beans, chicken, bread, strawberries, pizza, pasta, peas, corn, carrots, sweet potatoes, mango, yogurt, soup... I could go on and on. He eats only table food now and hasn't had baby food (jars) for a few months.
James babbles a lot and uses a few words frequently: "uh-oh" (he loves to say this, possibly because he gets such a big reaction), "mama," "dada," "lala" (Ellie) and "da" (dog). He has six teeth (four top, two bottom). James is still a very easy going guy; his sister is still his favorite friend, he loves going to day care (he kicks his feet in excitement as we pull up) and he's curious about the world around him. We couldn't ask for a better boy!
