Meghan and Mike's Rehearsal Dinner

Meghan and Mike's rehearsal dinner was at Chef's. It was lots of fun and a great kickoff to a fabulous weekend of celebrating.

Meghan and Mike's rehearsal was on Friday, September 30th. Ellie and James did a great job practicing going down the aisle!

Breakfast Al Fresco

Thanks to Mimi and Papa, Ellie and James now have their very own picnic table outside. This adorable table and umbrella arrived from the Land of Nod the other day and I put it together after E&J went to bed one night. They were thrilled to christen it with cereal the next morning. Ellie said, "Now we don't have to sit with Mommy and Daddy when we eat outside." Nice. Maybe John and I will be joining them at their table...

Ch-ch-ch-changes

Exciting things happening in our house: Ellie began dance lessons last week and James now sleeps in a bed. When I call Ellie's class "ballet", she'll correct me and tell me it's "creative movement." She seems to enjoy it and the only person crying at drop off was James because he wants to be with his big sis at all times. We had to buy James a new big boy bed because he was catapulting himself out of his crib. It's been an adjustment but he seems pleased with it. We're painting his room blue (finally) this month.

Carousel Birthday Party

In mid-May I took Ellie and James to Ellie's friend's birthday party at the carousel. It was a great party and I had fun experimenting with my new camera lens. James and his friend Teddy were kind enough to let me capture photos of the two of them having fun together.

Mother's Day

Our friends hosted us for a Mother's Day brunch this year which was nice. The kids had fun in their backyard and James was happy to have a football to play with. My Mother's Day gift was a new lens for my camera so I've been having fun testing it out. The real gift, of course, was spending the day with my favorite twosome.

First Communion

In early May we went to Maeve's first communion. Ellie and James had so much fun playing in their backyard. The top photo is my attempt at getting a decent photo of the two of them in their Easter outfits.

Birthday Party Fun

Ellie and James went to their friends' birthday party in late April and had lots of fun. The party was for sisters who have the same birthday. It was a bike parade party and everyone decorated their bike and had a little parade, it was adorable and the kids had so much fun.

Our Trees

We planted trees after each of our children were born and they're growing beautifully. Ellie has a pink flowering tree and James has a white blossoming tree. It's so fun to see them bloom in the Spring.

James's Easter Birthday!

James turned two on Easter Sunday and we celebrated his birthday with our family in Buffalo. He had a bunny cake and Aunt Kathy made him "2" cookies. Ellie enjoyed her first butter lamb and was happy to pose for a photo with it. James had a wonderful birthday and we're so glad we were able to be with so many people he loves on his special day.
