James is 5 Months Old!

James is five months old. He is pure joy, and such a good little Buster boy.

Here are some photos of our big boy in his crib. He gets such a kick out of rolling over in it, especially when he's supposed to be sleeping.

James Eats

You may have read the title of this post and be thinking to yourself, James eats? It looks like the boy does nothing but eat! He has been getting six meals a day, but on Sunday, he had baby food for the first time. Initially,James wasn't too sure about the rice cereal. It has since grown on him and he even licks his lips while eating. We'll be on to more exciting varieties of food soon. Stay tuned!

Bridget Comes to Town

Bridget came to visit last weekend! We were thrilled to have her, especially since she watched Ellie and James when we went to Cassie and Dave's wedding in Boston. It was awesome having Bridget here; she is a fantastic babysitter and loves both Ellie and James to pieces. Ellie wasn't very cooperative about posing for photos with her favorite aunt, but James sure gave Bridget some love. Thanks a million for coming Bridge, you're the best!

Chalk on the Walk

Last Friday we spent our time after school (and day care) covering the front walk with chalk drawings. Ellie also covered herself in chalk. She enjoyed it so much that she's wanted to draw with chalk everyday since.

Amigos

We had a quick visit last week with Jessica and her kids. Ellie wore her "Big Sister" shirt that day so Ben and Gwyn had to get theirs on too. Max and James had a ball rolling around on the floor together.

Big Sis and Little Bro

These photos were taken post-bath last week. We bathed Ellie and James, dressed them in their pjs and took them for a nighttime walk. It was great, they both fell asleep in their stroller which made putting them to bed a breeze.

Buffalo Bills Boy

Before James was born, I didn't think I'd be dressing my little boy in sports team-themed outfits. But there are just some occasions that call for such attire- like my hometown team playing just miles away from where we live to kick off their football season. Being a Bills fan isn't easy and James has learned this at a young age. He looked pretty darn cute in his Bills pajamas..but don't expect to see him in Bills zoobas anytime soon.

Bonus Beach Day

We spent this past Sunday afternoon at the beach. The sun was shining and Ellie enjoyed playing in the sand. We didn't go into the ocean but it was like having an extra day of summer, such a treat!

Waking Ellie

I put James in with Ellie to try and rouse her out of a deep sleep during the day on Saturday. It was unsuccessful but they looked cute together. James looks almost as big as Ellie in these pics (he's not).

Newport Cruise

For a long time I had been wanting to do a sunset cruise around Newport and we finally did it over Labor Day Weekend. Adam was visiting us and Julie and Todd came too- it was a really fun night and something I hope we do every summer from now on.

Friends

At the end of August, we met two new baby friends of ours. My friend Liz came down from Boston with her son Jake who is 6 months old. Later that day we went to Westport to see our friends Bill and Kelly and their kids. Abby is 4, Will is a month younger than Ellie and Timmy is a month younger than James.

My Birthday

The best part of my birthday was blowing out my candles with Ellie and James both on my lap. It doesn't get any better than that.

SPF Ellie

At the end of the summer, Ellie took an interest in applying her sunscreen on her own. I sometimes let her play with it, I guess there could be worse things she'd be into... and she never got a sunburn!

James is 4 Months Old!

James turned four months old on August 24th. The photos above are from that day, I'm just a little behind in my blogging. I've been back at work for a few weeks ago so photos of the kids at the pool seems like forever ago!
