Ellie is One and a Half!

Ellie is now 1 1/2! We spent the afternoon at school at a celebration for the new schoolyard garden, a sustainable garden on campus. Ellie had a blast! She is now attempting to use a fork when feeding herself and she showed off her dance moves too (which she obviously learned from her father, see second photo). Our little Elizabeth has become quite a toddler; she says more than 50 words and is now a little motor-mouth. Today was also a special day because it's Mimi's birthday - Happy 59th, Mimi/Mom - we love you!

Happy Memorial Day!

We had a great Memorial Day. I had to get a new camera since mine was doused by a sippy cup of milk this weekend. Ellie played outside in her pajamas after dinner tonight and I got to try out the new camera.

First BBQ of the Season

We have had a great Memorial Day weekend - we spent the first part of the weekend in Buck Hill and then came back today and went to Jessica and Brian's BBQ in Westport. Ellie dined on hot dogs with Ben and then devoured her first ice cream sandwich.

Lots of Laughs

Ellie shared lots of laughs with John this afternoon. She was all giggles and smiles playing with her Daddy!

Adam's Visit

Adam was in Boston working at the NBA playoff game this weekend and stayed with us. Ellie loved having her favorite uncle in town and even protested when he left this morning.

We continued the birthday bash weekend with Gwyn's 3rd birthday party at the zoo today. Ellie's favorite animals were the giraffes.

Will's Birthday Bash

We went to Will's 2nd Birthday Party on Saturday. The weather was awesome and it was great to see so many friends!

Mother's Day

We had a very nice Mother's Day in Buffalo. I felt so fortunate to spend the day with my Mom and Grandma - the women who have taught me about the kind of mother I hope to be. Happy Mother's Day!

Ellie finally got to meet her second cousins Sophie and Ava who were born in October.

First Play

Ellie went to her first theater production on Saturday with Mimi, Grandma and me. The Theater of Youth performed If you Give a Pig a Party and Ellie was mesmerized throughout the whole show. We even ran into her second cousins Christian, Kacie and Courtney there!

Mimi and Papa's House

We spent the weekend at my parents' house. Ellie woke up to a new bus that she loves to drive. It must be fun for her because she says, "weeee" when she's riding it. She then walked all over carrying my purse and filling it with her things.

Ellie's New Bag

Ellie's new mini-LL Bean bag arrived today. It's the perfect size for her to tote her toys and books in. I'm afraid she's looking like a mini-me carrying her mini-Bean bag around.
