Last weekend was fun filled. I took Ellie and James to the Children's Museum on Friday. It was James' first time there and he slept the whole time. Ellie decided that she needed to wear a tutu for our outing. I guess it's a necessary accessory for playing in the water room. We went to a carnival on Saturday and Ellie bravely went down the big blow up slide without her parents. She and Benny had a great time on it.
James is smiling more and more everyday. I finally captured his smiles with the camera tonight. He's even begun to coo a little too. We're so fortunate that James is such a happy little guy.
The photos above are of Ellie holding James this morning. They were both in their jammies waking up.
Erica and Todd came up to visit this past Saturday to meet James. Unfortunately, I didn't get Todd in a photo but the photo above is of Erica holding James for the first time. We are thrilled that Erica and Todd are expecting their first baby in December. What a lucky little baby to have them as his or her parents!
Before James was born, the girls gave me a gift certificate to Salt Marsh Pottery (saltmarsh.com) to have his hands and feet imprinted in clay once he was born. On Memorial Day, Jessica and I took the boys to have it done. As you can see from the photos above, neither enjoyed the experience. I can't wait to see the finished product and have it hanging in James' room.
